CASA MAHAHUAL
2,639 square meters.
Casa Mahahual is a single-family residence within a new coastal development, conceived as a contemporary retreat seamlessly integrated into nature. The project unfolds over a slightly elevated platform that establishes a direct dialogue between interior and exterior, allowing the architecture to appear as if it floats above the terrain while embracing the surrounding landscape. The interior layout revolves around a series of courtyards that merge with the bathrooms and bedrooms, creating intimate, naturally iluminated and ventilated spaces.
Using materials such as exposed stone, tropical wood, and palm thatch, the design evokes a warm, natural character while maintaining a clean and contemporary language. Lateral corridors run along the perimeter, connecting social and private areas and framing continuous views of the vegetation, transforming the project into a dwelling that blurs the boundary between refuge and open nature.
